Story

After an accident at a science facility, quantum orbs started popping into our reality, creating all sorts of problems.

We at Shrinker Inc. saw this as an opportunity.

By shrinking the quantum orbs we can both significantly reduce the harm and use the shrunk orbs to produce quantum tokens.

Controls

Click orbs to shrink them.

Use left mouse button to choose and build the Shrinkers.

I keep coming across an error where i have plenty of funds but it keeps saying not enough. 35k - 40k is the range where i will have 40k but cant buy a 35k laser.

Thank you for playing and reporting, I will look into it.

my rating for this game is 8/10, it has an interesting and unique concept, and the core gameplay loop keeps you pretty engaged in the game despite its underlying idle nature.

however, it could use some more incentives for players to get creative while building their machines. like Hexx_Vixtar said; it gets kind of slow while you are waiting for knowledge points to unlock the alto layer. additionally, the lower levels start to become less important as you progress, which makes it feel not very worth it to invest in getting to the 3x/2x holes.

I think that if you buff knowledge gain based on how fast you can process balls and how often they go into the 2x/3x holes across all layers, it could help give players something to do while they wait, and it could also just straight up reduce the wait time if they build their layers well.

overall, the whole game is pretty fun, and I would play it again if it got some more updates and content in the future. I know that idle/incremental games are pretty hard to playtest yourself due to their slow pacing, so I think you did pretty well 👍

Thank you for playing, for your feedback and for the kind words, it means a lot to me.

Not sure when the bug starts, but around the end of the game when I was buying Lasers for 2.1B it was selling for 3.3B

I haven't completed the game yet, I'll edit more once I'm finished, but there is 1 thing that stood out to me as a big flaw in the game, and that's the knowledge grind. I don't know what counts towards that, but it takes such a long time to grind out. too long in my opinion I'm at pico level right now, trying to get to femto, and it take so long, especially compared to quantum tokens which you can grind relatively quickly. Beside that, the game is fun so far. Not being able to place a shrinker when there's a ball in the way is annoying since I have to fenagle the ball around just so I could place the shrinker where I want it to, but it's not a deal breaker.

Edit: Still haven't finished yet, but I notice pico level seem to be extra vulnerable to having the ball get stuck on the regular exit. I've experience this multiple times already where other level seem to stop functioning for some reason and it turned out that the game has hit its orb limit on pico. You could even have an orb get stuck on the bottom right side of the squiggle wall thing, no clue how it could get stuck so deep in there.

2nd Edit: Still not finished, I have like 1 billion quantum token but only grinded 65~ knowledge, how long do I need to grind to get to 110 for the final level? What's the formula to calculate the amount of knowledge you get? Because I feel like the required token you need grows exponentially far too quickly to be able to grind that much knowledge.

3rd Edit: I'm sorry, I don't think I'll be able to complete the game and go to the final level. The grind for knowledge points is far too slow and boring. I'm getting around 0.01-0.04 knowledge per second and I don't feel like sitting doing nothing for more than an hour until I get the 110 to buy the last level. please make the knowledge generation more generous, it takes way too long and ruins the fun I had from the early - mid game where I try to min-max the position of the shrinker to get as much value with the least number of shrinker in play.

Thank you for playing and for your feedback, I will have to adjust the Knowledge-Points rewards towards the end for sure.

When I tested I unlocked the Shrinkers and Levels first, then I unlocked the rest and I could finish it in 45 min to an hour. However you are right in that no matter how the player plays you should not wait too long to unlock the next level (given that none of the levels have stuck orbs).

I see, for me I unlocked all the upgrade first (though not fully upgrade all of them, just buy the 1st upgrades) so I could see what upgrade options I have. Then I upgraded what seems to be the most useful, which include all of the missile & grenade upgrades, the poison shrinker's damage, the shrinker's cost, the attractor tool's cooldown, area, & strength, as well as the orb regeneration & payout multiplier upgrades. I don't know how other plays, but had the knowledge points be more generous, I likely would've upgraded everything first before going to the next level, but once I notice the slow down, I began saving points (though even then it's still extremely slow).

I hope my pov was a useful reference. I really want to complete the game but I don't want to wait that long for points to gather. Maybe introduce an upgrade that makes gathering knowledge points easier, I would definitely dive head first into buying that since (in most cases) it's a good long term investment that would help buy the other upgrades.

I updated the game to give Knowledge Points a little easier, however this will have the most effect for the players starting from the beginning.
